Better Injection 2000-1
The experience from our needle exchange and research with homeless heroin users indicated that poor injection technique was causing considerable problems. The research was used to inform the Better Injection and a series of other booklets in the range. They were designed for those with low reading skills and to be used to assist staff in the needle exchange when they explained safer injection techniques.
The booklets were designed and illustrated by Richard Kemplay. The size of the creative department had doubled to two (including me) when Richard was employed. I employed him after seeing his ‘Joint Rolling Handbook’.
There was also a ‘When Things Go Wrong’leaflet to accompany the Better injecting one.
