How to go out drinking in Manchester without getting the tripe beaten out of you. 1999
The Safer Dancing campaign spawned a number of different leaflets, including the self explanatory “How to go out drinking in Manchester without getting the tripe beaten out of you”. This leaflet was primarily aimed at students new to the city. The research for this was based on talking to police officers, bouncers (security staff) and pub and club watch members. The leaflet was popular, which led to versions for Liverpool and a national version. The current national version of this leaflet is still on sale.
